How can you become better at making decisions?
The word ‘decisions‘ has its root in the Latin word caedere.
Caedere means to cut or even kill.
So, you can think of it that way: instead of deciding to do something, you are deciding to not do a million other things.
We have limited capacity to take decisions every day. It might, therefore, be worthwhile to figure out what you are using your decision-making power for.
Batching can increase your decision-making power as it reduces the amount of decisions you need to make around one topic.
For example: You decide to check your emails at 11 and 15 o’clock every day. In that way, you don’t need to decide whether or not your are opening your inbox now. Or now? Or now? Or now?
